As we know, Clothe Identification is a sink of gold (and also of cash if you buy clothes for that). The question this thread tries to discuss is: "Is that better to upgrade guild skills or to try identifying clothes?" Guild skill costs (each for +40 to a primary stat): Guild skill level

So, if you are not afraid of the randomness of identification, the best path seems to be (for each Primary Stat), considering doing what is more rentable first, and what is less random in case of same rentability: - upgrade guild skill up to level 8 - identify D clothes - upgrade guild skill to level 9 - identify C clothes - upgrade guild skill to level 10 - identify B clothes - identify S clothes - identify A clothes This is considering you have average luck. Person ally, if I still had to choose, I would go to guild skills 10 first. |

A small reminder about refining: each Refining costs a number of Fashion Cores depending on clothe quality, and it gives you any number of stars between 1 and 5 which could be less than what you had before refining. Clothe Quality

Now I am trying to compare also with Astrals. I do the following assumptions: - you already have at least lvl 4 Red Astrals
- 1,000,000 gold gives about 2,000 astral exp. (You should get around this if you sell only Misfortune and Green Astrals)
- 1 point of MDEF and 1 point of PDEF have same value for you
- 1 point of ATK is worth 1 point of MDEF plus 1 point of PDEF.
I call Major statistic, or Major Guild Skill, or Major Clothe, the one who increases the ATK your character uses. (Intellect/Helm Clothe for Mages, Power/Weapon Clothe for Archers and Knight). I call Minor statistic, or Minor Guild Skill, or Minor Clothe, the one who increases the ATK your character does not use. Few notes and disccusion topis
For novice, mostly non-cash player it takes some time to get any piece of clothes. So when improving her/his BR, the identification of clothes is possible later. Same with clothes refining which require fashion cores and some of clothes of course :-) So as you wrote: "...Personally, if I still had to choose, I would go to guild skills 10 first".
When doing astrals during events (when you get Energine astrals) your astral EXP could be growth faster or (if you re-counted on gold) cheaper. When compare with guild skills - there is no event for them (bad for us), it means they cost always same gold.
Same with clothing event identification - the most people do identification only during events I guess.
Last note: The game is about two ways: The first could be called "The Lucky Guy" when clothing identification and also luck in capture astral and all lucky drops are preferred. The second one " The Rest of us" is focused on guild skills first, astrals and at last on clothing. Yeah I know, there are more ways of course, like a "Godlike casher guy", "Camper Guy" or "Camper Guy with Vlax syndorome" :-)
